Dr. Dorn is President and CEO of TerraSpark Geosciences LLC. He has had a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years in research and management. He spent 20 years as a Research Director, Research Manager and Research Advisor at ARCO Oil and Gas CO. He organized, directed, and managed the BP Center for Visualization for five years, and is a co-founder of TerraSpark Geosciences. Dr. Dorn is an internationally recognized expert in 3-D seismic interpretation and visualization, has a number of patents and patent applications in the area of seismic interpretation, was named the 2002 SEG (Society of Exploration Geophysicists) Distinguished Lecturer, and received the ARCO Corporate Technology award in 1998. He received his Ph.D. in exploration geophysics (Engineering Geoscience) from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980.
Robert Stevenson
Chief Operating Officer
Bob oversees TerraSpark's business operations, and is specifically tasked with elevating and optimizing various performance capabilities including strategic growth and development, sales and marketing, and seismic interpretation consulting. He joined TerraSpark with over 30 years of management and engineering experience in several industries, including energy, software and imaging systems, and management consulting. Previously he served as CEO of Translation Technologies (TTI), president of Geographix (a Landmark/Halliburton company), CEO of Photometrics Ltd., and GM/VP at IHS, where he was responsible for creating a new Global Energy Product Group. Bob holds MBA and Bachelor of Engineering Science degrees, both from Dartmouth College.
Francis A. (Mick) Coady
Vice President of Software Development and Support
Mick received a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois in 1979. From 1979 to 1982 he led Texas Instruments’ Design Automation group’s efforts in automatic layout of VLSI semi-conductors. He joined ARCO Exploration and Production Technology in 1982. From 1988 to 1992 he directed the Exploration Research software and technology integration group at ARCO and managed the technology transfer efforts from research into operations. In 2001, Mr. Coady joined the BP Center for Visualization at the University of Colorado, Boulder. There he was the Center's Senior Software Engineer and a research faculty member of the Computer Science Department. He has extensive experience in the implementation of mathematical and theoretical concepts into commercial applications and technology transfer from research to production.
Gwen Pech
Vice President of Information Technology
Gwen received a Bachelor of Science in computer science and physics in 1981 from Carroll College, Waukesha, Wisconsin. She has performed system support and data visualization at a number of universities, including the Departments of Atmospheric Sciences and Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Space Science and Engineering Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and ECAS/CAPS/OCS at the University of Oklahoma. Projects supported at these locations included the modeling of severe weather phenomena such as tornadic storms and hurricanes, real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting, theoretical fluid dynamics modeling, radar data analysis and graphical representation, and radar design for the Federal Aviation Administration. Some of her more recent work includes user studies to determine the quantitative value of large scale and 3-D visualization. She was appointed Visualization Chair of the SGI Users Group in 2003, and is an active member of SEG and ACM SIGGRAPH and SIGCHI.
Joseph P. Dominguez
Vice President of Interpretation and Consulting
Joe manages and directs all interpretation consulting services for TerraSpark. Additionally, he supports the company's sales team through direct supervision of proof-of-concept and evaluation projects related to Insight Earth®. Joe brings over 35 years of multi-tiered experience in geosciences consulting, interpretation, and exploration and production operations. Previously he served as general partner and vice president of Sherpa Energy Resources; geosciences manager for Headington Oil; US Exploration Manager for DEKALB Energy; and senior associate with Chief Petroleum. He began his career with ARCO, serving as manager of various exploration projects within the company's South Texas Division and South Alaska Region. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in geophysics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech).
Philip Neri
Vice President of Marketing and Product Strategy
Philip is responsible for product strategy, product management and marketing for Terraspark. Phil comes to TerraSpark most recently from Paradigm Geophysical Corporation where he held a number of senior management positions over the last nine years, including VP of Marketing, VP of Consulting Practices, Senior VP of Business Development, and Senior VP of Technology for Interpretation, Geological Modeling, Drilling Solutions, Data Infrastructure and Reservoir. Additionally, Phil has had a series of industry positions for multi-national energy companies throughout Western Europe and North America for the last 30 years. Phil has been active in industry associations as a speaker, writer and consultant. His formal education includes a M.Sc. in Geophysics & Information Technology and a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from Geneva University.
Shannon Adams
Vice President of Finance and Administration
Shannon oversees TerraSpark's finance and human resource functions. Most recently she served as VP of Finance and Administration at Wireless Seismic, Inc., a manufacturer of wireless seismic acquisition and recording instruments for the oil and gas industry, where she was responsible for establishing, growing and managing the finance, human resources and information technology functions. She has twenty years of experience including starting her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and holding various management positions in high tech industries, for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Denver.
